Path of the Pilgrim is an environment inspired by the real life path to Paro Taktsang in Bhutan.
Initially my idea was to recreate Paro Taktsang itself but decided on a smaller scope and while gathering references came across a wonderful building(shrine) next to a bridge and decided to chose that as my primary reference.
This project was my first completed solo environment and I got to both learn new software (Speedtree for grass, Blender) as well as revisit and improve my abilities in Zbrush to complete this environment. I am very happy with the result of this environment and all of the learning I got from it both in terms of Game Art & About Bhutanase culture and traditions.
Throughout the project I got a lot of feedback and support from many people but I want to shoutout the Beyond Extent community and especially Timothy Dries for his feedback throughout the projects journey. It really helped me push this scene both through to the end and improve the overall quality.
