Showcase of how the generator works currently in Houdini, the mesh is reduced and uv mapped and ready for export.
Wanted to show of a work in progress tool I've been working on. Still got some stuff to add and tweak but overall I feel it's in a state to show off a bit.
I started to work on this tool cause I wanted to create a large mountain/cliffside scene and felt it would be a great learning opportunity to make a rock generator for this. I've been iterating and iterating some more on this in my free time for the past 1,5 months.
Currently it takes in a blockout rock, I decided for this path since I felt it allowed for more control from an artist to create an rock that fits their vision and needs. A low poly with UVs is created and can be exported through Houdini.
